Did the Gods snatch you ladies up to Olympus? It's been so dead around here. I hope it picks up back soon. I can't wait to discuss Darkest Prison.

I know, it is kind of boring. I haven't been on because I've just been so busy lately with looking for a college and other stuff around the house. I think it'll pick up soon, after we get my people here. And I so want to read the Darkest Prison, I don't have anyway of getting it right now. I mean I have some money but no way of buying the ebook since I'm under 18 and don't have a credit card or whatever. I'll have to ask my sister to get it for me and then I'll have to give her the money. Ugh! I hate being seventeen. I'm just so close to being eighteen and yet I don't have the power to do anything yet. I'll be glad when October comes, then I'll turn 18 ^_^

~laughs at legion~ Well, I really have been snatched up by the Gods to Olympus. ~snickers~ When I haven't been working on my site, I've been reading or writing, and Olympus happens to be a location in my writing at the moment. ~grins~

Yeah, I pretty much have it narrowed down to four colleges from looking colleges up on a site. Now I have to go find their websites and look into them even further to narrow it down even more. Of course though my mom said says it would better if I go to community college for two years first, get all my english and other classes out of the way, and then go to a university where I can focus on my major.

What your mom said makes sense, but it all depends on the type of experience you wish to have. Like the full on university atmosphere. I went to a 4 year university and personally if I could do it over I would have done a 2 year nursing program at a CC. Then again if I hadn't gone to a university and did study abroad I never would have met my husband so.... Good luck with all that. Hope you have a great experience regardless which you choose.

If I may luvs...being that I have nearly finished my degree in Zoology and worked in the field that you are considering going into, I would honestly have to say that University really is your best choice. I understand that Community College's generally have sciences courses to take in the first year or two, but while it may seem like a Zoology degree is basic science in the beginning, it really isn't.
Only in my first year did I take 'basic' science courses, but even then I was taking courses also specifically related to wildlife. In my second year is when I took all of my wildlife Anatomy and Physiology courses and others that were very geared toward my major.
I think it would save you time in the end just start out in University, because if your schools are anything like Canadian schools (which I'm sure they are as I considered attending a US school when I began my University career), then you will likely just end up doing needless courses in Community College and need to catch up an extra year once you do get to University.
Another thing I forgot to mention before is that if you are quite sure that you want to get specifically into wildlife rehabilitation or wildlife conservation, when you are looking at schools and trying to decided which to attend, the degree best suited for the industry is again...Zoology. The best major is wildlife biology...which a very limited number of schools have available.
