I'm a high school student majoring in science and creative writing.
I have no job but am thinking about getting a job as a shelf clerk in one of the grocery stores near me.
And as for the career I have chosen.... I want to be some kind of researcher on the artic animals. They need help during the global warming and I want to help them out. Also on the side, I want to write and draw.
Writing: Preferrably paranormal romances but I've been thinking about doing something on the animals I want to research.
Drawing: That one's easy. Posters and such on helping the artic animals. I have the perfect one in mind right now.

I am a stay at home mom. When my kids start school I would like to study to be a RN. I also wish to write my own romance novel and books for bilingual German/English children.

Well, as we have already discussed on the previous board, I am a wildlife rehabilitator...mostly. ~laughs~ Unfortunately I'm not at THIS particular point in time...but planning on returning to work in the next year. I am also currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts with a major in creative writing and a minor in ancient history (with a focus on mythology). My hopes are to become a published writer (paranormal romance is my mian focus) and to continue to work in wildlife rehab. And luvs, since I know you are interested in working with animals, I thought you might enjoy a few pictures from my last work placement in British Columbia. These are four baby rabbits that were brought into us early in baby season. To tell them apart, we put different colored nail polish on their heads. ~laughs~ This is Candy, one of many baby black bears we raised. I will always remember her because she bit my leg and I STILL have the bruise to prove it...~chuckles~ A baby opposum. A litter of raccoon pups. ~squeals~ Sooooooo CUTE! A baby deer that I raised and named Bella. Her mama was struck and killed by a car on the highway, and this miracle baby was born on the side of the road and survived the whole ordeal!!! ~pouts~ I love her...she is at a zoo now and still remembers me when I visit! ~smiles~ This is Hoover. She was a few years old when I got to the rehab centre. She couldn't be released in the wild because she was too used to humans, so the centre got a permit to keep her permanently. I played hide and seek with her in her large enclosure (a mini forest) for an hour each day! (Best part of the day) This is Resby, a wild beaver that had been seriously injured when he was brought to us (as you can see from his back). He was at the centre for many months but unfortunately didn't survive his injuries. ~sad smile~ For a wild beaver, he was incredibly sweet. This is Bailey, one of the many raccoon babies I personally had to raise. She was close to a year old and almost ready for release in this picture. ~smiles~ Well...there are a few pictures. I hope they bring a smile to your face and help confirm your career choice. I do have pictures of the arctic animals I have worked with...but I'd have to locate them. It's hard to keep track of THOUSANDS of pictures of the animals you have work with. ~snickesr~

Aww.. thankyou Adalee. These pictures are awesome. I feel bad for the beaver, though. And it's okay if you can't find the ones for the artic animals, these ones are just fine. So yeah, I think they did pretty much confirm my career choice. Thanks again.

~laughs~ I'm glad you liked them luvs.
And thank you legion...I happen to agree...my job is pretty kick ass. ~snickers~ The bears, though cute as hell, are a REAL hand full. I must say that my favorite animals to raise (from this group) was my sweet baby Bella (the deer) and my tiny coon pups. I personally raised 23 raccoons that baby season (who ALL survived...amazingly!) and I could live the rest of my life just raising coons. I absolutely adore them. ~grins~
Wild raccoons, however, are not my favorite. Man, can those suckers bite. We got a wild coon in that it took 5 of us to net, hold down, and sedate. I was the unfortunate one who had to sacrifice in order to get the task done. ~cackles~ Despite wearing one inch think bite gloves, the a-hole still bit through the gloves and took off the tip of my finger. ~shudders~ Not a horrible injury, but hurt like a mo-fo at the time.

Ouch! And here I thought wild raccoons were cute. I absolutely loved the rabbits, the bear, the opposum(which my sister can't seem to understand why I think are cute), the raccoon pups, the dear, the bobcat/lynx(I know its one of the two I just mentioned), the beaver, the raccon and..... okay, maybe I love them all. I can't help it, I'm just drawn to animals.
